Maria Kardamaki Robertson, founder and CEO of Demeter's Pantry, holding Chicken Enchiladas with Rice, Peas and Salsa Verde — handmade gluten free Hispanic prepared foods

We cook everything in-house. In a time when many food manufacturers assemble pre-cooked ingredients, we take fresh herbs and fresh vegetables, and cook all the ingredients.

-Chef Maria Kardamaki Robertson

Our mission is to bring to market authentic flavors of the Mediterranean and Latin America, creating foods that look and taste like good home cooking. They are made with the healthiest ingredients, with no additives, preservatives, hormones, or antibiotics.

Our story started on the island of Crete in Greece, where our founder Maria Kardamaki Robertson grew up. She learned how to cook by helping her grandmothers every day. It is this experience of warm, flavorful, and healthy food that she wants to bring to every table here in the United States.

Our Logo

Demeter’s Pantry is named after the ancient Greek goddess Demeter (Dimitra in Greek). According to Greek mythology, Demeter was the goddess of agriculture. She taught men how to make flour and women how to make bread. For us, she symbolizes a tradition of producing healthful and authentic foods.
